Delmarva Foundation offers free Diabetes Self-Management Education workshops in various locations throughout the District of Columbia. Courses are held once a week for six weeks and funded by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services.  Delmarva is a licensed provider of the Stanford Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) and the University of Chicago at Illinois Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP), both evidence-based programs. Services and activities under Vida’s Health & Wellness Program aim to put seniors on the path to healthier living, healthy food choices, chronic disease management and appropriate fitness activities to help seniors to continue to live independently in the community where they can age in place and avoid costly, long-term care institutions. The Diabetes Self-Management workshop is given 2 hours once a week for six weeks. Vida offers services in English and Spanish.

Vida Senior Centers are licensed providers of Stanford Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP), Steps to Healthier Living.
